3. What is the difference between each Rx receive method?

We offer 3 methods by which we can receive/accept prescriptions:

a. Contacting your Veterinarian: choose this option if you want us to contact your Veterinarian's office by fax and/or other means to seek authorization prior to dispensing your prescription drug order. If your Veterinarian does not work with online pharmacies, you will have to select option b.

b. Mailing your prescription: choose this option if you will mail us the original written prescription for each Rx drug in your order. The address to mail your prescription is provided next to this option. It is also available on our website as our facility address.

c. Refill on file: choose this option if you have ordered with us before and you have refills available. In order to check if you have refills available, refer to the label on your previously dispensed order. The prescription label has all information including quantity available in refills and prescription expiration date to use the refills by.

4. How long does it take to process my order?

Processing on an order with prescription drugs start after authorization is received for all the Rx drugs in the order. Upon receiving authorization, your order will be filled and shipped to the shipping address entered with the order. We have listed order processing times in our Shipping Policy for your convenience. Please note that processing time for prescription medications is not measured from the time order is placed, it is measured from the time we receive authorization for all prescription medications in your order.

We will inform you promptly if prescription authorization request is denied by your Veterinarian office.

Any non-prescription medication does not require a Veterinarian authorization. However, if your order contains both prescription and non-prescription medications, then your order will not be processed until Rx authorization for all prescription medications has been secured.

5. What is the fastest way to order my pet’s medications?

The fastest way to order your pet’s medications is by using the website. You can also call us at 1-888-441-3856 to place an order. If you do not get connected with our staff immediately, please leave us a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Find the products you seek by browsing our website and/or using our website search. Add products to cart and checkout. At checkout, fill the required pet and Veterinarian information and we will take care of the rest.

6. Will I need to provide my pet's medical information?

In order to provide appropriate care for your pet, we ask for your pet's medical conditions, weight, breed, and age. This information helps us Pharmacists in practicing safely while dispensing prescription medications for your pet. For some over-the-counter (non-prescription) items we might need to know your pet's weight and type to make sure your pet receives the right product. The more we know about your pet, the better our Pharmacists can assist you in meeting your pet's needs. We encourage you to provide us with all of your pet's medical information. We handle your pet's information responsibly and as outlined by Board of Pharmacy guidelines. All information is secured and protected. We do not share your or your pet's information with anyone.

7. Are your prescription drugs the same as my Veterinarian's office?

Yes. The prescription drugs we dispense through our pharmacy are the same drugs you can get at your Veterinary office. All medications sold through our pharmacy are U.S. FDA/EPA approved. We only carry products that are intended for sale in USA. Many times, a manufacturer has a manufacturing facility that is outside of USA. If a prescription drug is FDA approved, it can only be manufactured in an FDA approved facility, whether in or outside USA. FDA approved drugs will always have the same shape, size, color, inscription, etc. So, a manufacturer can manufacture drugs outside USA and distribute it in USA for sale.

8. How are your prices so low?

We are passionate about offering affordable healthcare for your pets with no compromise to quality. As much as possible, we offer the best prices to help you care for your pets.

9. How fast will I receive my order?

We recommend selecting any of the premium shipping options for faster delivery. There are many variables that may alter the delivery time of a shipment and that is why we recommend premium shipping options. All shipping options and suggested delivery times are listed on our Shipping Policy page.

10. How quickly will my order ship from your facility?

For your convenience we have listed the processing time in Shipping Policy to help you estimate when you can expect your order to ship from our facility. Processing time for orders with only over-the-counter (OTC) products starts from when the order is placed.

Rx orders require an authorization from your Veterinarian. We will process your Rx order after the authorization is received. Orders with both Rx and OTC items will begin processing after an authorization from your Veterinarian is received.

11. What if I have an open script with another pharmacy? OR Can I transfer prescription from my existing pharmacy?

You can have your pharmacy call our pharmacist to transfer your script.

12. What if I need to cancel my order?

In the rare event you would like to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as you can at 1 (888) 441 3856. We will make every effort to accommodate your request. Please note that shipped orders cannot be cancelled.

13. How should I store medications?

Most medications should be stored at room temperature unless listed otherwise. All medications that are shipped cold must be refrigerated unless listed otherwise.

14. What is the expiration window for products you sell?

You can purchase our products with complete confidence. We take special care at the time of fulfillment to ensure the products you receive have sufficient time before reaching their expiration date. Expiration dates vary for each product. Very few products do not have an expiration date specified by the manufacturer. Expiration date is clearly mentioned on the products that we ship.

15. Can I fax/email over my prescription?

No. We do not accept prescriptions sent by you over fax or email. We only accept prescriptions faxed from your Veterinarian’s office. Our preferred method for processing prescriptions is to seek authorization from your Veterinarian’s office after you have placed the order.

16. Can I send my original written prescription through mail?

For your safety and security, we prefer receiving prescription authorization directly from your Veterinarian’s office. However, if you have written Rx scripts that you would like us to fill, please mail the original hard copy of your prescription to our address:

Bandana Rx

5600 Imhoff Dr. Ste E

Concord CA 94520

17. How do I know if I have refills available with your pharmacy?

In order to check if you have refills available, refer to the label on your previously dispensed order. The prescription label has all information including quantity available in refills and prescription expiration date to use the refills by.

If you have not ordered with our pharmacy before or have not transferred a prescription from another pharmacy to us, we would not have any refills available on file.

18. How can I order refills?

We store refill information on file for all orders you place. You can place your refill order online and choose the Refills on file option while placing your order. You can also call us at 1 (888) 441 3856 to get assistance with placing your refill order.

19. How should I dispose unused or expired medications?

Please take precautions with medications use at all times and keep medications away from the reach of children. All medications we dispense are intended for Veterinary Use only.

FDA has issued some guidelines for disposing unused, unwanted or expired medications. Click here for FDA directions to dispose of unused/unwanted/expired prescription drugs. Please follow these directions to dispose any unused or expired drugs.

20. Do you price match?

Our effort is (and always will be) to provide you best quality products at affordable prices with low shipping & handling costs. In rare cases, if you find a lower cost medication/product at any other reputed licensed pharmacy located in USA, we will match our price to them. Requirements for price matching:

a. Price match can only be done for products sold by a reputed online licensed pharmacy in USA (we will not price match with an unlicensed or a brick & mortar pharmacy)
