What are Incurin Tablets?

Incurin Tablets are an effective treatment for the control of estrogen-responsive urinary incontinence in dogs that have undergone surgical removal of the ovaries and uterus (ovariohysterectomy). Incurin Tablets require a prescription from your veterinarian. It is safely used worldwide for more than 12 years

Cautions:

Not for use in humans. Keep this and all drugs out of reach of children and pets. Incurin Tablets are only for use in female dogs that have had surgical removal of the ovaries and uterus. The safety and effectiveness of Incurin Tablets have not been evaluated in dogs less than 1 year of age, intact female dogs, male dogs, dogs used for breeding, or lactating dogs. Incurin Tablets are contraindicated in dogs showing polyuria (production of excessive amounts of urine) secondary to polydipsia (excessive thirst), or in pregnant dogs.

Side effects:

The most common side effects associated with Incurin Tablets treatment under field conditions included loss of appetite, vomiting, excessive water drinking, and swollen vulva.

Storage:

Store at or below 77 °F (25°C) with excursions permitted up to 104°F (40°C).

Directions:

The dose of Incurin Tablets is not body weight-dependent; all dogs receive an initial dose of 2 tablets orally once per day for a minimum of 14 days. After control of urinary incontinence has been achieved, the lowest effective daily dose should be determined by decreasing the dose in a step-wise manner from 2 tablets, to 1 tablet, then a 1/2 tablet depending on your dog's response. There should be a minimum of 7 days between each dose adjustment. When the lowest dose that controls urinary incontinence is identified, the dose may be decreased further by administering once every two days. Dogs should not receive more than 2 mg Incurin per day (2 tablets). If the dog does not respond to 2 mg of Incurin per day, the diagnosis should be re-assessed.

Our dog has incontinence and this medicine works for her. She is so housebroken she would be absutely devastated if she intentionally peed on the floor. This medication prevents her dribbles on the floor . Used to obtain from vet then costco. Recently costco could not get it. Discovered this company and am impressed w them. They responded very fast to my email concerns and the shipping got it here right on time. So am very pleased with this company and highly recommend

Helps our old female dog who has estrogen defficiency leaking

We have a very holistic vet who is not thrilled with the potential side effects of this medicine, BUT it is really key for us because otherwise our dog leaks pee all the time as if she's got a hole in her bladder (she doesn't). The theory is that our older female rescue dog has leaking caused by estrogen deficiency. (I say theory because an infection was ruled out but there's no canine test for estrogen so the diagnosis is by process of elimination.) Our vet says this med has a potential side effect of possible bone marrow failure someday & that's an awful chance to have to take, but none of the natural anti-leaking stuff worked on her. She's around 23lbs and gets a 1 mg tablet a day and it really works. Our vet had wanted us to go down to every other day but that's just not enough for our girl. So it's a very valuable solution for us & the price here on Pet VM is excellent.
